Choose which button(s) on your phone or Bluetooth device can trigger the verbal status reports:

  • Volume
  • Play/Pause
  • Play

  • Previous

When a button is enabled, it no longer performs it's default function while Climber's Assistant is running.  The "Climber's Assistant Button Monitor" Accessibility Service has to be turned on under the phone's settings.

Suggestion: A Bluetooth selfie button allows you to press the volume button without handling the phone.  Bluetooth Earbuds usually have play/pause functionality built in that can be used to trigger verbal status reports.  With Bluetooth media remotes can also be used.
