Rock climbing is an inherently risky and physically demanding activity that involves substantial risk of personal injury, including but not limited to falls, strains, sprains, fractures, and other serious injuries. Before engaging in rock climbing, it is important to understand and accept the following disclaimers:

Assumption of Risk:
I acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in rock climbing activities and that I am aware of the inherent risks associated with this activity. I understand that these risks include, but are not limited to, falling from heights, equipment failure, rockfall, weather conditions, and the potential for serious injury or death.

Responsibility:
I understand that my safety is my responsibility. I am responsible for assessing my own abilities and limitations and for making informed decisions about which routes or climbs are appropriate for my skill level. I will exercise caution and good judgment at all times.

Equipment:
I will ensure that all climbing equipment, including harnesses, ropes, carabiners, and helmets, is properly inspected and used in accordance with manufacturer instructions and industry standards. I will promptly report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate personnel.

Training and Supervision:
I will seek appropriate training and instruction from qualified instructors before attempting advanced or technical climbs. I will also be aware of the importance of having an experienced climbing partner when attempting more challenging climbs.

Health and Fitness:
I will ensure that I am in good physical condition and have no medical conditions or injuries that could be aggravated or worsened by rock climbing. If I have any doubts about my health or fitness for climbing, I will consult with a medical professional before participating.

Environmental Stewardship:
I will respect and protect the natural environment in which I climb, including following Leave No Trace principles, staying on designated trails, and minimizing my impact on the rock and surrounding areas.

Emergency Procedures:
I will be familiar with and adhere to the emergency procedures and protocols of the climbing facility or outdoor climbing area. In the event of an accident or injury, I will seek immediate medical attention and report the incident to the appropriate authorities.

Release of Liability:
I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Ibex, Climber's Assistant , its owners, employees, volunteers, and any other parties involved in organizing or overseeing the climbing activity for any claims, demands, actions, or damages arising out of my participation in rock climbing.

By using the Ibex app, I acknowledge that I have read and understand this disclaimer, and I voluntarily accept and assume all risks associated with the activity.
